I wouldn't worry too much. Honestly sounds like he is just toying with you, being he is reassuring you that he is fine but making no effort to continue your relationship.. Sometimes guys do weird things for attention.. You all are still young yet, he might be trying to distance himself, maybe even straying.. When guys are young, it is hard for them to settle down.. They do like to play stupid games for attention. He knows that you both have been distant and that hurts you, yet he is texting you asking you a question he already knows the answer to. Really sound like he is rubbing it in your face.. If he would of really cared, he would at least had the decency to call you... If i were in your position, i would talk to him and tell him that you feeling you are growing apart and he may need some time to get it together.. Obviously you are not happy with where things are going and you even realize there are some issues.can he be busy with work if he don't have a job??. So you have to decide whats in the best interest for the both of you.. If you really think he is depressed, you could talk to a trusting family member of his and ask for help.. As for being afraid he is going to end it with you-- be more confident in yourself, be strong, and realize that you are still young yet.. dealing with a guy who don't consider your feelings and someone who has to text you stupid questions and don't reply back to your messages is not worth the trouble.. Can she ever love me after what she has been through?

At this place where I work there is this ten year old horse who was an amazing filly who just wanted someone to love. Then she went to a riding school where she was teased with hay and was taught different things by different people she hated the inconsistency and it really confused her to be yelled at then praised for the same thing. It broke my heart when one of the women in charge said that the only way the horse would possibly be able to love is if I am the only one who ever looks after her all the time which obviously is not possible. She was at this place for 5 years which just ruined her she came back a cribbing, permanently lame, pushy monster. Hello, When you do go to work with her.Have someone with you. You take lady out and have someone work with willy to take his mind off of Lady vice versus . You need to get a long line at least 25 ft to Lunge, and a stick and string. When you lunge rub the rope all over her both sides so that she knows it's not a scary or hurtful thing. Do the same thing with stick. When you get ready to Lunge her take your hand and point up HIGH in the direction you want to send her off. Take your stick and swing it count to 1 2 3 MOVE her feet. if she doesn't move at the 3 spank her with it. You will get the hang of it.You can watch lunging videos. I watch alot of Clinton Anderson so helpful. You can even go to youtube.com to look at videos.If you know of anyone have them help you until you get the hang of it.Good luck with her. So i started seeing these bring flashes of light, way quicker than a second, it happened one day. I thought nothing of it, maybe i was trippin. another day it happened two times in a row, i definitely noticed it. So them i started looking it up, i couldn't find anything really on the subject. I went to the dentist today, and he said I needed to have my canines "pulled down" because they are impacted and will not erupt on their own. I had my baby teeth removed a year ago. Las Vegas Weddings/Renewals?

Anyone have opinions/been married/guest at a Vegas wedding or renewal? My hsband and I are thinknig about a vacation, and I'd like to plan a wedding renewal (he sprung a surprise wedding renewal on our recent cruise). I haven't had much research yet, but in the different sites, I'm drawn to the Red Rock Canyon package. Besides the intimacy of the ceremony (no guests, just me and him) we both are fans of nature type locations, pulling me towards Red Rock. But some of the other options kinda tugging me are things like one at a hotel/casino in which the ceremony is timed so that the water fountains erupt at the pronouncement of husband and wife.....or any other suggestions? We aren't doing this vacay for about a yr. so I have time to plan and prepay. Help i gotta horse with a cut artery.?

ok well my 2 year old filly got her leg stuck in the round pen yesterday and cut her artery in her leg. I called the vet he told me to just put gauze around it and vet wrap and to make sure i had it tight to increase the pressure to stop the bleeding. Well i did that and he told me to change it after 10 hours. when i did the bleeding started back and it was none stop until i could get the bandage back on good enough. Should i continue changing it every few hours or keep it on there a while. I think it needs air and i don't want the scab to grow on the bandage as well, but when i take it off it starts all over again. She lost about 2 gallons of blood before we got it stopped. No one could catch her and she just kept running and running she finally stopped long enough for us to get a halter on her and we bandaged her up. I would call the vet again but they are closed for the day.

Jumping horses like running horses almost never have good conformation they are very thin and tall, this colt will probably grow up to be close to 15 hands and built like a working horse as will any other colt she ever has. That does not mean they can not jump, I have seen 15 hand Quarter Horses out jump 17 hand warm bloods. Nice looking baby and the mare is super nice looking Bay Dun mare.

about a month ago i waxed my upper lip and a little while later i got theses two skin colored bumps on my upper lip in the part that dips in. you could only see them if i stretch the skin though. they didnt itch or hurt or tingle, they just showed up. so i researched they prob were clogged pores, but they didnt get worse and were pretty small so i left them alone. recently i've caught a cold and was blowing my nose a lot so when i put Carmex on my nose and upper lip, i accidently put too much pressure on one of the bumps and it hurt really bad, like a needle puncturing my skin kind of. that night it went from being small to a big red bump that hurt. i put neutragena's on the spot acne stuff and that irritated it even more i think. so i kept putting carmex to soothe it, but it didnt make it better. it's def swollen from the irritation, so i put Proactive on it and now it has this huge white head on it but hurts a little less than before. i put liquid bandage on it afraid it may be a cold sore and i dont want it to spread. the thing is, it wouldnt have erupted like this if i had never had pressure on it from applying the carmex, so it didnt happen by itself. what is this??

How to prepare a young horse for the farrier?

I work with quite a few horses on a regular basis as horses are my passion, so I'm working with a young filly who has mastered picking up her feet to have them picked out, but has managed to figure out the amount of time it takes to pick out a hoof, and once that time is up she starts to fidget. So I'm worried about when the farrier comes, I don't want the horse, or the farrier getting hurt, so does anyone have any tips or tricks that would help me work with her before her farrier visit so it can go as smoothly as possible. So I have this female yearling... given from someone to someone to me. So I was told she is a double registered QH, and I don't even know which second association she would be with. I'm not even sure she's registered to be honest and I cannot trace back to her original owners, I've spent hours trying to do so. I was wondering if any association can register a horse without breeding information, or if it is even legal to register a horse with a chance of already being registered. I'm usually pretty good when it comes to people, but my boss is a pain. She's emotional and can be bitchy and a bit vicious at times. I have worked with her for years and I have found her difficult at times but the older I get the harder I'm finding it to tolerate her. What discipline do you show? For her mane, depending on the breed, you could pull it or leave it long. With a welsh, I suggest pulling it. And condition it. As for the shine, groom her really well, but the shine just won't show up on a gray as well, just use whitening shampoo and make sure she is spotless. As for the face hairs, don't use scissors! Use clippers, and if you don't know how, ask someone to do it for you or show you how. Make sure her feet are looking good too! Hoof heal is great!

yes and no. if you know how to adjust your mic levels then no it does not matter. most mic's will do the trick. but mic's have different frequency ranges.so if you don't know what your doing then yes it matters. some have a bass roll off because you should not record vocals with too much bass. in studio i would recommend a condenser mic.

What are some signs that my horse is going to foal soon?

This is our first foal, (She's an old pro at it however). This will be her 4th foal in as many years (I just bought her last fall, with last springs filly). Her last foal was May 29th of last year. So should be expecting anything to happen this month, or could It go into May-June? She was exposed to the stud from June 1st - August1st last year. I'm looking at it being May but she's just so freaking huge!!! Her shape has changed recently & her udder is Huge, with thick veins running the inside of her leg/groin area. I had vetted the end of Nov. & he said she was most likely 5 mo.... I just want to know some signs to look out for. Any tips from old pros would be appreciated. What I do for my chestnut tobiano gelding is on the white parts, I use a whitening shampoo, and on the brown parts, regular. I use a few different products on his whole body, and it works good.

How will my two horses react if I add another?

I had just two fillies for a while that were a pair bond, we decided to get another horse we could ride as well, we ended up getting a gelding. We were not able to put them in adjacent pastures at the time so we just let them meet through the fence (we had the gelding on a lead rope on the outside) The horses do get pretty riled up and squeal and stuff but this is normal. We just gave them an hour or so to settle down (we let the gelding mow our lawn ;) Then we put him in with the girls. My horses are very friendly with other horses so I was not too worried about any one getting hurt. They make the whole thing pretty dramatic but they settle down eventually. Usually things get back to normal in a few days to a week, sometimes it could take longer depending on the horses. Though my horses are friendly they had disagreements on who was gonna be alpha lol. Six months later they still have their disagreements lol but as long as no one is getting hurt just let them figure it all out. Good luck on your new horse!

My little filly is really sweet, she's calm and very good under saddle, but when i got on her bareback and kissed her to go she freaked out and threw me off. IPhone 4 battery HELP!?

I have the iPhone 4 and it works great but the battery is pretty bad. I recently have a problem with the battery draining overnight and fixed it. I had it filly charged at exactly 700 am at 100% and now it's 5 21pm and it's at 26% and for the 6 hours I was at school it was in sleep mode. It says it has been used for 4 hours 47 minutes since last full charge and 10 hours 22 minutes in standby. Why is my skin unbearably itchy?

my whole body, especially stomach,back of thighs, and butt have insane itching. this just started up about a month ago when we switched fabric softeners in our laundry. we switched back and it went away for a week or so. last night they came back. my laundry has been washed with the normal fabric softener so it can't be that. i do take very hot showers, but my skin isn't dry. i used to have eczema when i was younger, but that now is only on my arm in stress. the cream that worked for that kind of works for my itching, but it doesn't stop it other than for a couple hours. Hi, For the past few months ive watched a poor little foal (2yr) being beaten and neglected in the gypsy tiny field just across from my yard. The little filly is stunning and has lovely movement, however her rib cage and wither are showing quite badly. When she was around (1yrs) they begun to break her to drive and were chasing the poor thing around with a massive whip, then had the cheek to ask my friend to break him to ride (she said no as he was only a baby). It makes me really sad to watch this poor little girl gradually starving and tbh i don't think she will last very long. i'm fifteen years old, and basically there's this 3 year old horse that i NEED in my life.. seriously. she was about 1 years old at my yard when i was loaning a pony and she was really badly behaved, she actually used to be dangerous to be with so i started to go in her stable and work with her and after many days of going home with scrapes and bruises, i got a strong bond with her and her behaviour gradually built up from there. i would go in every day and groom her, no headcollar, she used to make me laugh so much, and as my loan pony was in the riding school, i spent more time with the filly than i did with my loan pony. the thing is, after over a year of working with this filly, i had to leave the yard and have heard that she's got SO naughty again, and they're trying to break her in now. i miss her so so so much, there's not a day that goes by that i dont think about her, there's not a night when i dont dream about her, i sit here and cry sometimes at the thought of her leaving and not coming back.. writing this is making me cry and i'm pretty tough skinned. my dad says he doesnt want me to buy her because of the risk involved, because she's so young, but if she got sold i honestly dont know what i would do. i'm making a video to show to him to try to make him understand how much i love this filly. if i could let go, i would, but i'm just too attatched to forget about her. her and my shetlands are EVERYTHING to me. plus, she's up for sale. i could possibly get half the money to buy her but she would be sold by the time i got the other half. so i want to hear from you lot.. should i completely give up on her and let her get sold and just suffer the heartbreak, or should i follow my dream and keep on trying to get her? it would be a 5* home, turnout and stables, all the love and care she wants, and i would work her and make her well behaved again.. i'm not scared of what could happen to me if i bought her, or the injuries i could suffer, i'm worried about what could happen to her if i dont buy her, and where she would end up. i would rather suffer from broken bones than a broken heart, and life is either a daring adventure or nothing. thankyou :)

LA has the LA Equestrian Center with the equidome but that's only for showing. El Sueno Equestrian Center has a covered dressage arena but that doesn't do much for you, Lindsay Farms has a small covered but they only have APHA pleasure horses there, Sunset Hills has an indoor but I'm not even sure if there are horses on the property anymore, Pierce College has a covered arena......I couldn't exactly tell you all of the places in LA because I don't live there, but I'm in Ventura and know just about ever single barn in the county. Whether the owners/trainers would let you use their arena for free jumping I am not sure. Some may and some may not. But I also know that in Ventura County will not permit large indoor arenas/covered arenas because you can only have so much covered square footage per acerage according to county law. The indoors that you do see were built before that law.

If you don't want to be rough with her and she is really barn sour, it might be a good idea to start her out with another horse in the arena. This might comfort her and help her settle down. However, you shouldn't rely on having another horse with her all the time. Ride her with someone else until she settles and learns to relax and enjoy riding. Then slowly wean her off needing company after you've made some progress. You are right that you probably don't want to be too rough with her that this point. She's new to riding and beating on her will probably just stress her out even more. Do your best to make her time in the arena fun for her.

i have 3 horses. A 6 year old qh mare, she has a slight atitude. I rescued her from a horse trader and finished, with a little help from freind, her out completely but resently she has started crow hopping when we go into a canter and i cant seem to get her to do a smooth transition any more. Sh also has some issues with picking up her feet ( she was beat whenever she didnt pick them up at her previous owners). I have a 4 year old paint filly shes around 16 hh. I have had a saddle on her and a bit in her mouth she knows what they are for. I have also sat on her. (my dad and i think that she was broke when we got her from her previous owner.) but she has bad ground manners(she was spoiled and allowed to do anything she pleased) she leads but she likes to pull and be in front of you. she will only pick up her feet for a small peroid of time, and she has separation aniexty when i take her away from my other mare. And lastly is a resently rescued Qh gelding. he rides and has perfect riding manners but he had a problem with his face being touched and he bites. Im pretty sure her was beaten(hes got some scars that cant be explained) he was about 500 pounds under weight and he has major food aggression. I am patient with all my horses as they all have some problem or another ( i guess that comes with resccue animals) but ive gotten to the point where i feel like i have tried everything i know and im open to ideas. I also dont want someone tell me that i dont ahve time for my animals or that i dont know what im doing. I do have the time and space and money for them. I do know what im doing and have the vet out regularly for check ups.

Could any experienced horse owner be able to come to my farm and help me with my year old filly?

my boy went through a phase like that, no one could get near his legs or hooves for 2 weeks without him trying to kick you (quite fun when the farrier had already been booked). I managed to get him over this by slowly stroking him and getting a little further down a leg with each stroke, giving him a treat when he let me get to a certain point. I kept doing this until he'd let me touch all his leg, then started to slowly pick his hoof up a little bit then setting it down and giving him a treat. I did this for about a week and after that he has been absolutely fine around his legs & hooves. If he panicked I would stop and go back a few steps to where he was comfortable and start the whole thing again. It might work with your filly. The main thing is to be patient and don't panic.

Why does my mare still look & act pregnant?

I've had a 4 yr old mare for several months now... she was already pregnant when she came to me (rescue). She's a sweet girl who foaled a filly on May 6th. The doctors were going by his symptoms and the fact he was just seen for dehydration. It will be hard to prove that they were negligent. Question about fathers day?

I was a real daddy's girl and looked up to my father. He was my hero. My father died from cancer last year. I don't know what happened to me, but I always thought I would die if he ever died, but somehow, I accepted his death and often pray he visits me in my dreams which he always does. Large bump on roof of my mouth after oral surgery. Could this be harmful?

Hello, I recently had oral surgery (impacted wisdom teeth) in which they extract all 4 wisdom teeth that had not yet erupted. It has been two weeks since the surgery and pain has stopped for the most part except for major heads, aching jaw, aching ears, and i have a large bump on the roof of my mouth where on tooth was extracted (top right). The bump is no longer painful but I am concerned because it is pretty big. I have a couple other bumps but they are A LOT smaller. Someone maybe been in the same situation and could offer some insight? Is it worth making another apt. and wasting time going to doctor that is always rushing and doesn't explain or answer questions any how? Or is this harmless?

Why is my whole body itching?

my whole body, especially stomach,back of thighs, and butt have insane itching. this just started up about a month ago when we switched fabric softeners in our laundry. we switched back and it went away for a week or so. last night they came back. my laundry has been washed with the normal fabric softener so it can't be that. i do take very hot showers, but my skin isn't dry. i used to have eczema when i was younger, but that now is only on my arm in stress. the cream that worked for that kind of works for my itching, but it doesn't stop it other than for a couple hours. (it is a pH fixer to make my skin less acidic). i'm 16, and this itching is driving me crazy, it's just normally one or two attacks a day, but i scratch myself raw and bloody because of it. i can't go to the doctor's for another 2 weeks because i'm leaving for camp soon and i need an idea of WHAT it is and anything that can help

Weight loss nightmare?

I know what you are going to say already. Just implement a little exercise in your daily routine and cut back on your calories. Bull-Spit. I was always average. Size 8-10 in high school (average for a black woman) and then college. My parents got divorced and the cafeteria was all you can eat. They even had a desert bar. If I knew then what I know now. By my mid sophomore to junior year I was a chunky monkey. (no pun intended brothers and sisters). I read a book about the Atkins diet and I dropped 35 pounds. I must have been feeling pretty smug because I didn't even notice gaining it all back with an 8 pound interest. Whew. And at 27-28 it is not really about looks and campus status. Well let's be honest I'm a woman, It's always about looks. But I'm concerned with my health as well. Everything bad seems to be tied into weight. Diabetes, cancer, high blood pressure, infertility, GERD, unemployment. Ok I might have embellished a little at the end, but unless your are a genius at whatever it is you do, that slim filly with equal qualifications will get a call back well before sister neck-bone. And I know what you're gonna say. I should love me; all of me. I read all of the self help books, articles, you tube videos but bump it. I can't stand me. As a matter of fact it's not even me. It is not really that he needs a "playmate". He just may need, like you said, a companion. Probably any choice would be good. Since he is so versatile and friendly, he sounds like he would be accepting of any horse you would bring. If he can touch horses over the fence, that is good for him that he can do that at least. He has some horse buddies and that is great for him. You are very considerate and kind to want to get him some company in his paddock. I wish more people would have that kind of understanding and caring about their horses.

Have you had her since birth or recently brought her into the family? If she has been raised at another home she may have been 'bullied' by other horses or neglected by her owners but if you have had her since birth the only other thing it could be is if you bond with this horse everyday she may be protective of you. Horses are just like humans. Also you may want to take her to a chiropractor because if her back is out she could be playing up. When my horses back was out i had no clue, but when i took him to the chiropractor he came back a different horse. So this may be something to look into. :-)

Can I cut my plaid drapery fabric on the vertical?

I have a piece of plaid drapery fabric that I want to use to make 2 valances for my bedroom windows (2 windows). Would it be ok if I cut the fabric on the vertical length? I need to add a smaller section to each side of the main piece (according to my sewing pattern). Anyway, the only suggestion I have for you is that you could work on using your hands with a bit more finesse and subtlety. I'm not saying you have rough hands or anything, just that you could make your aids less obvious. But riding greenies is not always conducive to subtlety I know. I'm impressed with both your riding and her training. I'm sure she'll do well in lower level dressage and hunters, though without seeing her jump I can't say for sure.

What to do with aggressive filly?

If she were mine, I would turn her out with 2 or 3 other mares and let them work it out. She sounds like a horse that is totally unsocialized and is disrespectful and dominant. She has no manners and the other older mares will teach her some life lessons. If there are a few cuts and bruises, they won't be life threatening and the lesson would be worth it. I would not put her into a situation where she could hurt herself, like in the stall since she is so out of control. Without some herd interaction to remind her of the hierarchy of horse life, things are unlikely to change relative to horse relationships.

How do i get rid of these mice?!?

So, about 3 weeks ago i was sitting on the floor in my room eating. Several times i noticed something in the corner of my eye black, moving fast. It came out and I realized it was a mouse. i freaked! did not catch it that night. The following day, I tore my room apart cleaning EVERYTHING and made it smell good with Murphy's oil soap. I found mouse droppings in a spot the mouse ran last night (under a dresser drawer) and I washed my sheets with extra fabric softeners. I found no mouse holes anywhere. I set 2 traps in my room, 3 in the kitchen, and 3 in the garage. I caught a total of 5 -_-. The other 3 traps are still laid out, I haven't seen or caught anymore since, and I've been spraying peppermint oil all over the house and my room. I never eat in my room any more and vaccuum/clean it once a week. There's not a crumb or spec of dirt anywhere in my room; is it safe to say the mice are gone, if not..what can anyone recommend?

Taking my Filly away from my Mare?

I have 3 horses; 1 year old Filly(flicka), 3 year old mare(Bella) and a 17 year old pony gelding(midnight) Btw Bella isn't Flicka's Dam. How can i prevent bosal from rubbing?

No matter what I ride my filly in - bosal, halter, sidepull - she always gets rub marks under her chin. Sometimes they get irritated and bleed a bit when I ride her multiple days in a row. I absolutely am not rough on her at all seeing as she's quite responsive off seat and leg cues. I'm assuming she has sensitive skin seeing as I haven't had this problem with any of my other horses. I share equipment with another girl who has a young horse and she doesn't have these problems, despite the fact she can be quite harsh on her horse. What can I do to prevent this? I always put a salve on her to help heal after I ride but I don't want her to look beat up in the show ring. My bosal piece is a dark brown. Would putting a layer brown/black vet wrap over the bosal help?

Dream about tornadoes and being separated?

I had a dream that i was at my middle school,( i am currently in high school) and the room that my class was located in was my grandmothers house. there was a large Tornado coming that we could see, but i ran as fast home as i could because i only lived a few blocks away. no one was home and i ended up back at the school/grandmothers house. when everyone went downstairs there was this greenish looking sick old lady and a really sick looking cat and everyone started screaming because the old lady was trying to attack them. we all ran upstairs.i then left in search for my parents(who are separated) i try both of their phones but no answer. so when i leave to go and find them i head to where they work. but when i get some ways away from the school the city turns HUGE almost Las vegas looking but the city never ends. so i find a shuttle train which i have never been in or seen, the shuttle is almost like a roller coaster but it takes me down to this water front. at the water front everyone is watching a tv and crying. on the news its talking about large volcanoes erupting in europe and it is going to make europe go almost complete under water(i live in america). it also showed videos on the news of the large cities being sunk down by the volcanoes.
