Can she ever love me after what she has been through?

At this place where I work there is this ten year old horse who was an amazing filly who just wanted someone to love. Then she went to a riding school where she was teased with hay and was taught different things by different people she hated the inconsistency and it really confused her to be yelled at then praised for the same thing. It broke my heart when one of the women in charge said that the only way the horse would possibly be able to love is if I am the only one who ever looks after her all the time which obviously is not possible. She was at this place for 5 years which just ruined her she came back a cribbing, permanently lame, pushy monster. I would absolutely love it if I could get her to trust me and respect me as all she ever wanted was to be loved and adored but all she got was pushed around and confused. (Im in tears now thinking about what she must think and how unhappy this must have been for her as everyone wants to be loved.)
