Introducing horse to bareback riding?

My little filly is really sweet, she's calm and very good under saddle, but when i got on her bareback and kissed her to go she freaked out and threw me off. I'm not sure as to why, maybe she's nervous and doesn't know what to do? I just need some help for her to get used to it before i get thrown off again..
