How to fix a holes in a dress?!?!?

My mum bought a dress for me to wear for an awards show, which was last night. This morning I found that the dress has lots of little holes at the bottom where people were stepping on it. Is there any easy way to fix this because my mum will kill me when she finds out as it was a really expensive dress? The fabric is silky if that makes any difference.
